When life throws us curve balls we tend to say
“ God why me?“
We tend to quickly complain without thinking about how whatever it is could help us.
I have learned that life is a journey.
A journey that molds you into the person you will be for eternity.
Some people have had hard lives since childhood.
Their parents decisions as well as their own have affect their journeys.
A lot of people do not know that God REALLY is LOVE.
A lot of people do not know or understand that God did NOT kill their grandparents,
make your uncle or aunt a drug addict,
give anyone cancer or put anyone in prison.
YOUR THOUGHTS, DECISIONS, OBEDIENCE AND DISOBEDIENCE ALL AFFECT YOUR JOURNEY!
There comes a time where we have to take responsibility for our actions and stop blaming God, our parents, up-bringing and everything else.
GOD CREATED YOU WITH THE CHOICE TO CHOOSE!
You can choose to be the victim all of your life or you can choose to be the victor!
We as humans must let the “Why me God” attitude go.
WHY NOT YOU!?
Every time a problem comes your way you complain without even thinking to ask God
what you’re supposed to learn from it.
We keep going around the mountain over and over again complaining and not learning a thing.
“WHY ME GOD?”
WHY NOT YOU!?
Your attitude is wack, your hard-headed and you think you can solve everything without God.
THAT’S WHY YOU!
We keep our eyes on ourselves instead of on God so we make the problem stay around longer
and blame God for letting it happen.
THAT’S WHY YOU!
When we complain constantly about the same problem it tells God that we aren’t ready for the next level on your journey.
It says “God I haven’t learned anything so I’ll just go around this SAME mountain of trouble don’t worry about taking me to the next level Im good right here!”
Makes no sense right!? Well that’s what we do!
Each level of our journey in life prepares us to help others.
You being a breast cancer survivor, a house invasion survivor, a car wreck survivor and any other survivor has prepared you to help someone that will be in the position you once were in.
What if we only complained “God why me?” and NEVER learned anything?
How would we help the next person if we keep going around the same mountain OVER and OVER AGAIN???
We wouldn’t be able to!
So WHY NOT YOU!?
Yes, you can experience some painful situation in life but if they are going to get you prepared to help
someone else then
WHY NOT YOU?
What if all of the people who helped you during painful life experiences complained, cried and shouted
“WHY ME GOD?” all of their lives?
Who would God have sent to help you?
Our lives belong to God and we are here not only for our self-centered experiences.
So today I ask WHY NOT YOU?
Have you been going through some tough times? Rent due, utilities past due, car acting funny, kids fighting and you can’t seem to catch a break? I’m here to tell you that your tough times and problems aren’t signs that God doesn’t love you.
God loves you with an everlasting unconditional love.
No matter how big or small problems are meant to transform us. Problems are meant to help build character. The kind of character that Jesus had. The kind of character that helps you persevere during difficult times in your life. I say all the time that every problem has an expiration but what I’ve learned is that problems are inevitable, when one expires here comes another one. THAT’S LIFE.
What most people do not realize is that YOU have the choice to either let the problems DEFINE YOU or TRANSFORM YOU.
If you choose to let the problem define you there is a good chance that the problem will be around longer than you would like it to be. You’ll keep going around and around that mountain until you learn to look to God and let the problem/ situation transform you and build your character. If you choose to let the problem transform you, you’ll constantly be looking to and at God instead of the problem. You’ll pass the test and survive to pass the next test that’s coming your way.
Believe it or not every problem has a purpose in your life. Maybe you keep running into a lot of traffic or long lines at the grocery store those things that you see as problems could be helping you develop patience. If there were no problems how would we grow as people if we didn’t have anything to learn from? Yes, you can learn from others mistakes but I truly believe that learning from our own mistakes makes us better people.
That problem or trouble that’s been lingering around is building your character, molding you into the person God wants and see’s you as. Pray about it, thank God for never leaving you and prepare for the next one.
